CURRENCY GARLAND

CURRENCY GARLAND

the currency garland presented to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Ms Mayawati at a rally organized to mark the BSP's 25th anniversary has generated much heat with the congress and other parties. Ms Mayawati should understand that symbolism of any kind will not improve the living condition of people. The BSP workers, who presented currency garlands to Mayawati on Monday 15th March and Wednesday 17th March, 2010. Ms Mayawati as well as her followers should realize that such activities will not in any way, enhance the prominence of the leader. It will lead to a decline in the fame gained hitherto.
It is indeed shameful that in a country where thousands are starving, a political leader should embarrass us with such uncalled for display of money. It reflects the current trend in politics. Is not a simple garland of flowers enough to show respect to a leader? What is need for such vulgar display of wealth?
