
1,35000 ENGINEERING SEATS AVAILABLE IN TAMAIL NADU ENGINEERING COLLEGES IN 2009
1,35000 seats in 41 disciplines in B.E & BTech courses will be available for students in Tamil Nadu Engineering Colleges in 2009 with 85,000 seats to be allotted through counseling conducted by Anna University. In all, 353 colleges, including 333 self financing colleges, 11 university colleges and 10 government and government aided colleges, would be included in the counseling process. One hundred and forty colleges had applied for approval from All India council for Technical Education (AICTE) this year.
A prospects of the 354 colleges was available on line. Students could obtain the forms from the website www.annauniv.edu/tnea2009 or by post or directly from counters set up by the university.
General applicants will have to pay Rs 500 for the form, while the fee is Rs 250 for sc/st candidates. All applications should be addressed’ the secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2009, Anna University, Chennai 600 025 and should reach the address by 5.30 0n may 31, 2009
