ELECTION- 2009( II PHASE)

Electioneering for the phase II of general election scheduled for april 23 2009. Chief Election commissioner Navin B. Chawla will supervise this phase and the subsequent three other phase ( April 30, may 7 and may 13). Total of 2041 contestants including 121 women, are in the fray for this phase, which will cover 13 states, including manipur.
The phase II will cover the highest number of 141 Lok Sabha constituencies. In Andrapradesh and Orissa, the Assembly elections for the remaining constituences 140 and 77 will also be covered
