BATSMAN MATHEW HAYDEN


One of Australia's greatest opening batsman Mathew Hayden retired from crickets on 13 th December 2009. The 37 year old batsman will be remembered as one of the modern-day cricketing titans, amassing 8625 runs in 103 Tests an impressive average of 50.73" Mathew Haayden told" To day I am announcing my retirement from representative cricket effective immediately"

Hayden's 380 scored against Zimbabave in perth in october 2003 stands seconds only west Indian Brian Laras world record 400 not out as the highst individual innings in Test cricket. Hayden said he had many things he wanted to focus on life after cricket" importantly for me, to day I am retiring from cricket not from life" he said " There is still so much that I want to achive and contribute to the country. He played in two world cups in south Africa in 2003 and in the west indies in 2007.
