The "Award Ceremony and Kerala Palliative
Care Friendly Meet" was organized under the auspices of the Kerala Palliative Care Initiative and
the Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy.The
meeting, held at the Kurakar Education
Centre, was presided over by the State President of the Palliative Care
Initiative, Prof. John Kurakar.
The conference was officially inaugurated by the former Principal of Kottarakara College, Prof. T. J. Johnson. The awards were distributed by Rev. Father Alex Zachariah.During the meeting, award winners Kunjachan Paruthiara and K. K. Joy spoke, along with Dr. Gangadharan Nair, Sri Ashok Kumar, Neelaswaram Sadasivan, Dr. Jacob Kurakar, Mangalam Babu, Prof. Molly Kurakar, Srimati Matha Guru Priya, Sri Joseph Abraham, Mathew Luke, Achankunju, Menu John, R. Geetha, Pastor Raju, Viswanathan, Jacob Mathew Kurakaran, and John Thomas.The filming of the documentary 'Nanmayulla Kunjachan' (The Kind Kunjachan) also took place at the venue.
