We visited kodaikanal on April 18,19 and 20th April, 2024.Kodaikanal is one of the very popular holiday destination hill resorts in South India. This hill station stands 7200 feet above sea level and situated in upper palani hills of the westernghats near Madurai in Tamil Nadu. Kodaikanal is also popularly known as the princes of Hill Stations.
What is special in Kodaikanal?
The top sightseeing places in Kodaikanal are Green Valley View (Suicide Point), Kodai Lake, Bear Shola Falls, Pillar Rocks, Thalaiyar Falls, Devil's Kitchen and poompara village.
Poombarai is situated just 50 km from the Kodaikanal Lake and is a tiny hamlet famous for its production of garlic. It is a part of Palani hills and stands at a height of 1,920 m, situated among terraced fields and vast, lush greenery.
