SEN KUMAR BOOKED FOR INSTIGATING RELIGIOUS HATRED

The Kerala police on Friday registered a
case against former police chief T.P. Senkumar on charges of spreading
religious hatred. The cyber wing of the Crime Branch booked the former director
general of police (DGP) under IPC 153 (A) for instigating religious hatred
through an interview given to a vernacular magazine. The case has been
registered against the magazine which published the controversial interview
too.Additional director-general of police (Crime) Nithin Agarwal, who is in
charge of the investigation consulted prosecution director general Manjeri
Sreedharan Nair to seek his opinion on initiating a probe against Senkumar for
his alleged remarks In the interview post his retirement on June 30, Senkumar
had made several inflammatory remarks against a minority community, creating an
uproar in social and political circles..
സെന്‍കുമാറിനെതിരെ കേസെടുക്കാമെന്ന് സര്‍ക്കാറിന് നേരത്തെ നിയമോപദേശം ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു .
ഡയറക്ടര്‍ ജനറല്‍ ഓഫ് പ്രോസിക്യൂഷന്‍ മഞ്ചേരി ശ്രീധരന്‍ നായരാണ് നിയമോപദേശം നല്‍കിയത്. മതസ്പര്‍ധ വളര്‍ത്തുന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള പ്രസ്താവനയാണ് സെന്‍കുമാര്‍ നടത്തിയതെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയ ഡി.ജി.പി കേസെടുക്കാവുന്ന കുറ്റങ്ങളാണ് സെന്‍കുമാറിനെതിരെ ആരോപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. മതവികാരത്തെ വ്രണപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന പ്രസ്താവനയാണ് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് ഡി.ജി.പി ലോക്‌നാഥ് ബെഹ്‌റ നേരത്തെ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്....
റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ വാരികയുടെ പ്രസാധകനെയും സെന്‍കുമാറിനെയും പ്രതിചേര്‍ത്ത് കേസെടുക്കാമെന്നാണ് നിയമോപദേശം
പ്രമുഖ വാരികയ്ക്ക് നല്‍കിയ അഭിമുഖത്തില്‍ സെന്‍കുമാര്‍ മതസ്പര്‍ധ വളര്‍ത്തുന്ന തരത്തലുള്ള പരാമര്‍ശം നടത്തി എന്നു ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ച് യൂത്ത് ലീഗ് സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറി അഡ്വ. പികെ ഫിറോസ് അടക്കമുള്ളവര്‍ സര്‍ക്കാരിനും ഡിജിപിക്കും പരാതി നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു. ഇതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് പോലീസ് നിയമോപദേശം തേടിയിരുന്നത്
