FROM NEXT YEAR (2013)
The
state government has decided to implement the Contributory Pension Scheme in
the state. All employees who join government service will be brought under the
contributory pension scheme. The employees would contribute an amount equivalent
to 10 per cent of basic pay and dearness allowance towards the pension fund.
The government would also contribute towards the fund.Currently there are more
than 5.50 lakh state government pensioners, while the number of serving
employees is 5.34 lakh.
As per the scheme the employees will have to contribute a fixed sum every month
