KOTTARKARA COLLEGE LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT TEACHERS VISITED VELANKANNY MATHA CHURCH.

Kottarakara College Language Department teachers visisted Velankanny matha church on 17^th and 18^th January,2019.This is one of the most important place for Christian faith people and is very much famous for mother Mary and child Jesus. The story tell that a Dutch sailor with no hope of survival prayed to mother Mary and she let him survive and he also saw the image of mother Mary holding the child with the blessings of which he survived so based on which he went to the shore and constructed this church as a note of thanks and to make people aware of the miracle which he have experienced and to share this with others. Today a lot of foreign. Tourists along with the domestic people visit this place to pay their respects and to receive blessings. This place is not restricted to Christians alone and a number of people from other religions also do visit this place.
