'JEE (Main), NEET (UG) exam to be conducted
twice from next year’

In a
student-friendly move, the Human Resource Development Ministry on Saturday
announced that the JEE (Main), NEET (UG) exams will now be conducted twice from
next year.While addressing the media here, HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar
said, “Students have been demanding this. As the exams happen once in a year
and if some mishap happens during that day than the entire year gets wasted due
to which this decision has been taken”.He added that the students will have an
option to take the JEE (Main) and NEET (UG) exam twice a year.
According
to the tentative schedule, JEE (Main) will be held in January 2019 and April
2019. On the other hand, NEET (UG) will take place in February 2019 and May
2019 and UGC-NET will be held in December 2018.Meanwhile, competitive exams
like JEE (Main), NEET (UG) and UGC-NET from this year would be conducted by the
National Testing Agency (NTA).The agency will also conduct the Common
Management Admission Test (CMAT) as well as Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test
(GPAT) exams. Also, all these exams will now take place in computer-based
format to ensure leak-proof exams.The time table of the exams to be conducted
by NTA would be uploaded on the ministry’s website. The IITs would continue to
conduct JEE-Advanced exam, the Minister said.
“The
syllabus, nature of questions, language choice as well as the exam fee will not
change, however, the method of exam is now going to be only computer-based”,
said Javadekar.The official statement said that the tests would be conducted in
multiple sittings and a candidate will have an option of dates to choose from.
Scores of different candidates in multiple sittings will also be equated using
standardisation techniques.To ensure that everyone has an opportunity to
practice before the exam, the testing agency will establish a network of test
practice centres for the students of the rural areas, the statement added.Schools/engineering
colleges with computer centres would be identified and kept open on
Saturday/Sunday, starting from third week of August. Any student can use the
facility free of charge.The Union Cabinet in November 2017 approved NTA as an
autonomous and self-sustained testing organisation to conduct the entrance
examinations for higher educational institutions.
ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പ്രവേശന പരീക്ഷകളുടെ നടത്തിപ്പ് അടുത്ത വര്‍ഷം മുതല്‍ പുതിയ ഏജന്‍സിക്കു കീഴിലേക്ക് മാറുകയാണ്. നിലവില്‍ സി.ബി.എസ്.ഇ നടത്തിവരുന്ന നെറ്റ്, നീറ്റ്, ജെ.ഇ.ഇ എന്നീ പ്രവേശന പരീക്ഷകള്‍ നാഷണല്‍ ടെസ്റ്റിങ് ഏജന്‍സിയായിരിക്കും നടത്തുക. കേന്ദ്ര മാനവ വിഭവശേഷിവകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി പ്രകാശ് ജാവദേക്കറാണ് ഇക്കാര്യം അറിയിച്ചത്.
നിലവില്‍ സി.ബി.എസ്.ഇ നടത്തിവരുന്ന നെറ്റ്, നീറ്റ്, ജെ.ഇ.ഇ തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രവേശന പരീക്ഷകളാണ് 2017 നവംബറില്‍ കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അംഗീകരിച്ച നാഷണല്‍ ടെസ്റ്റിങ് ഏജന്‍സി നടത്തുക.
പ്രവേശന പരീക്ഷകള്‍ അടിമുടി മാറുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഇവയാണ്‌
1 നാഷണല്‍ ടെസ്റ്റിങ് ഏജന്‍സിക്കു കീഴില്‍ നടക്കുന്ന ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പ്രവേശന പരീക്ഷകളെല്ലാം കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ളതാണ്. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്ക് വീട്ടിലിരുന്നോ അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ അംഗീകൃത കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലിരുന്നോ ഇതിന് സൗജന്യ പരിശീലനം നേടാം. അത്തരം കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളുടെ വിശദാംശങ്ങള്‍ ഉടന്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കും.
2. പരീക്ഷകളുടെ സിലബസ്, ചോദ്യഘടന, ഭാഷ, ഫീസ് എന്നിവയില്‍ മാറ്റമുണ്ടാകില്ല.
3. നാലോ അഞ്ചോ തീയതികള്‍ പരീക്ഷയ്ക്കായി നിശ്ചയിക്കും
4. ജെ.ഇ.ഇ, നീറ്റ് പരീക്ഷകള്‍ വര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ രണ്ടു തവണ നടത്തും. ഈ രണ്ടു പരീക്ഷയിലെയും ഉയര്‍ന്ന മാര്‍ക്കാവും പ്രവേശനത്തിന് പരിഗണിക്കുക. എന്നാല്‍ ഒരു പരീക്ഷ മാത്രം എഴുതിയാലും അയോഗ്യതയുണ്ടാകില്ല.
5. നാഷണല്‍ എലിജിബിലിറ്റി ടെസ്റ്റ് ഡിസംബറില്‍ നടത്തുമെന്നാണ്‌ കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി പ്രകാശ് ജാവദേക്കര്‍ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ജെ.ഇ.ഇ (മെയിന്‍) പരീക്ഷ ജനുവരിയിലും ഏപ്രിലിലും നടത്തും. ഫെബ്രുവരി, മെയ് മാസങ്ങളിലാകും നീറ്റ് പരീക്ഷ ഉണ്ടാകുക
6. എന്നാല്‍ ഇക്കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ ജെ.ഇ.ഇ (അഡ്വാന്‍സ്ഡ്) പരീക്ഷ ഐ.ഐ.ടികളുടെ കീഴില്‍ തന്നെയായിരിക്കും നടക്കുക.
7. കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ മുഖേന പരീക്ഷ നടത്തി വേഗത്തില്‍ ഫലം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി പരീക്ഷ നടത്തുന്നതിനാല്‍ കോപ്പിയടിക്കും മറ്റ്" ക്രമക്കേടുകള്‍ക്കുമുള്ള സാധ്യതകള്‍ ഇല്ലാതാകും.
8. ഉയര്‍ന്ന സുരക്ഷാ സംവിധാനങ്ങളുള്ള സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയറുകള്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് ഈ പരീക്ഷകള്‍ നടത്തുക. ഇതുപയോഗിച്ച് കൃത്യസമയത്ത് പരീക്ഷ നടത്താനും സാധിക്കും.
9. ഗ്രാമീണ മേഖലയിലെ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്കായി നാഷണല്‍ ടെസ്റ്റിങ് ഏജന്‍സി (എന്‍.ടി.എ) പരീക്ഷ പരിശീലന കേന്ദ്രങ്ങള്‍ ഒരുക്കും. ഇതിനാല്‍ എല്ലാ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്കും പരീക്ഷയ്ക്കു മുന്‍പായുള്ള പരിശീലനത്തിന് അവസരം ലഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
10. ഇതിനായി കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ സെന്ററുകളുള്ള സ്‌കൂളുകള്‍ / എന്‍ജിനീയറിങ് കോളേജുകള്‍ എന്നിവ ഓഗസ്റ്റിലെ മൂന്നാമത്തെ ആഴ്ച മുതല്‍ തുറന്ന് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കും. ഏത് വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിക്കും ഈ സൗകര്യം സൗജന്യമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാം.
11. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്ക് ജെ.ഇ.ഇ (മെയിന്‍) പരീക്ഷ ഒരു തവണയോ രണ്ടു തവണയോ എഴുതാം.
12. അടുത്ത യു.ജി.സി നെറ്റ് പരീക്ഷ മുതല്‍ ഓണ്‍ലൈനായിട്ടായിരിക്കും (കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി) എല്ലാ പരീക്ഷകളും നടക്കുക
