Sahithy observed “World Interfaith Harmony Week. World Interfaith Harmony Week
is an annual event to be observed during the first week of February. Dr. Thomas
Mathew Kulangara, former International President of I A R F, inaugurated “World
Interfaith Harmony Week Celebration On 1st February, 2018 at Karickom
International Public School. Mr. K.O Raju Kutty presided over the inaugural
function.
Inter School Quiz competition was one
of the important event of the World Interfaith Harmony week. 70 students from various schools were
participated. Prof. John Kurakar was the Quiz Master. In connection with UN
World Interfaith Harmony Week celebrations URI presented Awards to seventeen dignitaries
from different walks of life. Sri. B. Ashokan IPS presented the awards to the
dignitaries.
Felicitation ceremony of the
observation of WorldInterfaith Harmony week was held on 7th February
at Kottarkara Kurakar Center. Dr. Abraham Karickom, Secretary General of URI
Asia Region inaugurated the felicitation ceremony. Prof. John Kurakar, URI-
Global Council Trustee and President of the Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy presided.Rev.
Fr. Alex P. Scaria, Dr Gangadharan Nair, Dr. Balakrishnan Nair, Prof. Molly
Kurakar, Mr. Neelaswaram Sadasivan, Mr. Mangalam Babu, Matha Guru Preeya, Mr.
Suresh Kumar( Film Director) Mr. Saji Cheroor, Mrs. Sulochana Pallissery, Advocate
Sajan Koshy, Mr.P. C Mathew, Dr. Jacob Kurakar, Mr. K.G Mathai Kutty, Mr.
Sanoop Sajan, Mr. Babu Ponnachan, Mr. George Kutty, Mr. Scaria, Mr. Sabu Daniel,
Mr. Ajayan Kottara, Mrs. Mary Thomas spoke on the occasion.
