ELECTED AS THE K.P.C.C MEMBER
Advocate Alex Mathew is the elected member of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) and also human rights activist and social worker. He entered in politics during student days influenced by the senior congress leaders and the various activities of KSU. He served two years as University councilor of Kerala University Union. And executive member of the university union during year1983-85. He served as the member of the Malila panchayat during 1995 to 2000.President, Block Congress Committee, General Secretary of the District Congress Committee.He is the director board member of the Kottarakara Co-operative Agricultural and Rural Development and Founder president of Malila Rural Co-operative society.

Alex Mathew was the president of the YMCA, Kottarakara, Managing Committee member of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian church, and  youth movement. He was also the member of M.G.O.C.S.M, All Kerala Balajana sakhyam south region, Founder Vice president of the Alumni Association. Now He is an active member of the Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy, and Ayppalloor Edan Nagar Residents Association.
 Alex Mathew is the son of  Padinjareveettil Mr. C. Mathew and Mariamma Mathew, born at Karickam on10th July, 1962. He completed his Graduation from St. Gregorious College and, LLB from Law College, Trivandrum. He Married Anuja Philip, teacher, St. Thomas H.S Kadambanad . He has two son Febin Mathew Alex is a C.A student and Nidhun Philip Alex  is the student of Higher secondary class. 
He won the Priya Darshini samman award  for dedicated social work and Alumni association Merit Award in 2008. He is also selected for UN-URI Interfiath Award. The award will give him  on 3rd February,2018 at International Public School.He participated many National and International conferences.National Meeting of the NSUI at Nagapur, National Conference of Block presidents at New- Delhi were remarkable.
